Hello bloggers, Zach White checking in here for another post
This past weekend was a little out of the ordinary for what
the team is used to on a normal road weekend.
We had two away games at Canton, however we were unable to stay in the Town of Canton so we stayed about an hour away in Alexandria Bay. For those of you that don’t know Alexandria
Bay is a beautiful summer vacation spot for many New Yorkers. However, for us staying there at this time
of year we got to see the other side of Alex Bay. In the fall and winter Alex Bay is like a
ghost town with very few people there and many restaurants and attractions were
closed for the season. We happened to be staying at a nice waterfront hotel on
the St. Lawrence Seaway, with a perfect view of Bonnie Castle out of our
balcony. Along with the new experience
for the team staying in Alexandria Bay, I thought we had a solid weekend in
terms of hockey. Friday night we fought
back from 4 goals down to tie and Saturday we played a steady game and came out
with a 3 to 2 win. All together I
thought it was a good experience weekend for the team, we showed a glimpse of
what this group can do when everything comes together. We plan to bring this well gained experience
with us this upcoming weekend when we go up to the north-country for two big
battles.
Until next time, Enjoy your week
