Big week, big dinner, long weekend..........

I feel as though "Syllabus Week" no longer exists when you are an upperclassman because the work is already piling up. But I'm happy that the first weekend back is a long weekend because it will give me a nice opportunity to take care of all the little details  that accumulate at the beginning of the semester. Labor day weekend is also the last weekend at Sunset so I think we might have to check that out. I hope Moby can come to the beach because I have a feeling all the girls will be impressed by his European swim attire.  Last night a couple of us started the weekend off with half prize appetizers at Applebee's. Boneless wings was the appy of choice but I think Doust also got a spin dip. Chad was hungry and ordered the 2 for 20 meal by himself which is not the first time I've seen him do that. He had to pack up his ribs to go though. Below is a picture of the meal.

We've all got a little 'beauty' in us........

Well it feels good to have wrapped up the first week of classes and my last class of the day today was in an air conditioned room, so that was really nice. I found out yesterday that Melky and Bennett are in my online Organizational Behavior class. I found out because we had to introduce ourselves with a post containing our name, major, and something interesting about ourselves. Most people wrote a sentence or two but Melky just wrote 1) Cory 2) Business 3) Full Time Beauty.   Like anybody in the class knows what that means. Anyway, speaking of Beauty's, check out Castriota's golf attire below.

Pouring cats and dogs in Fredonia........

Well it's pouring rain again in Fredonia. On the plus side, we got cable today which was perfect timing for Suits. Specter and Pearson are in the middle of a tough murder case in which Wynia thinks they will win and merge but Marty thinks Pearson will fail and rat out Mike Ross for not going to Harvard. Anyway, if you haven't seen it you should check it out. It's a great show. Here's a little shot of Matt, two t's not one(Hehr), and Chad enjoying our new cable.

'Canadian Tuxedo'..............

It's the second day of classes and in typical Fredonia fashion it decided to downpour after a hot and humid day. I had my first class back in a lecture hall since freshman year and wouldn't you know it was full of freshman. I saw a couple of our new guys in there though-Marcus and Frankie- so it'll be good to have that with them. This Chem class is my first real science class of college so maybe they will be the ones helping me. Although if the time it took Frankie to finish our safety quiz in the accompanying lab today is any indication I may have to lead the way. We'll see. One thing is for sure and that is we will be sweating in there Monday nights. We are required to wear long pants, a long sleeve T and covered shoes. I suggested to Frankie we wear a nice 'Canadian Tuxedo' like the one Doust is rockin in this picture.

Eddy happy to be back with the boys....

Its great to be back in Fredonia and see all the boys again. And this year we have a large group of new guys to welcome to the team.  It's been nice meeting them and we will continue to show them the ropes as they start to get settled into routine. I can hardly believe it's already the start of my senior year, but I am excited. My year starts off with  Corporate Finance, Chemistry, Differential Equations, and POM so I'm sure my routine will involve some library time very soon. Besides the class work and library time though, is the most exciting part about being back.. Hockey!

Its great to be back in Fredonia.

Captain Perks leading off the blog season....

It's great to be back in Fredonia after a wonderful summer vacation. Nice to meet all the incoming freshman, and excited to get started here on both school and hockey. Had my first meal of the year over at the Cranston today. Just when I thought they couldn't be any better, they knock one out of the park with hotdogs as today's featured entre. After that Andy Christer, Teck, Marty and myself took in the local festival and watched a little live music. Overall, great start to the year and I look forward to getting things rolling this week.
