With exams next week, stress is ramping up.........

Hey there hockey fans!

Its #6 Kurt Gottschalk here for the blog post today. It’s been a pretty stressful week here at Fredonia State as the year is coming to an end and finals are approaching us faster than ever. It’s been a nice week here with weather being in the 20’s (70 degrees in Fahrenheit) and all of the students outside enjoying the nice weather.

With Fred fest passing us it was nice to see some of the hockey alumni and getting the chance to hangout with them once again. For all the country fans reading this last Friday Mac MacAvoy, Garrett Moore, Mitch Kauffmann and myself saw Eric Church in concert, which was incredible. Garrett and I were in different spots at the concert and Garrett managed to snap a close picture of Eric Church.

As for the school aspect this week it’s been pretty stressful with 2 presentations and 2 projects to hand in which makes it pretty challenging to study for my four exams. We also have our Student Athletic Gala coming up this Sunday to give out awards for the different athletes who have excelled at their sport this past year and to congratulate the seniors who are moving on.

Well I better get back to studying Business Law.

Take care hockey fans and have a great summer and Go Flames Go!

"I don't think I have even seen that many people in Fredonia ever!"

Hello folks this is Mackenzie McAvoy signing into today's version of the blog and my last one of the year. I hope everyone is having a great week, so far and remember people its almost the weekend!.
In today's edition I'm just going to talk about how my week is going and what's going on around in Fredonia, since it is 'Dead Week' and the last week of school so not too much is happening except for studying for exams coming up next week.

For this week I am currently studying for a map quiz I have at 10 AM this morning and also working on my Stats 300 project which is due Thursday in which the project consist of looking at 160 grades from 4 categories of the Business Departments and to see if there is any nominal similarities or differences between the grades and different majors in the Business Department. I know it sounds like a lot of fun! It sounds really boring but it is kind of interesting and it also will help in the future when doing stats for a business one day hopefully.

Other than my project nothing else is going on, just have been very quiet the last few days after our annual Fred Fest, even though it was cancelled, the off campus festivities still took part. Driving in downtown Fredonia it was pretty crazy to see all the students and kids walking around and having a good time. I personally don't think I have even seen that many people in Fredonia ever!
And also I might add it was nice to see the Flames win last night that it for sure and I do believe the was a goal the first time.

But anyways I'm gonna finish up the finishing touches on my project and also studying for a quiz tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great week and even better weekend.

Yours in hockey,

Whitey hoping for a Triple Crown winner.......

Hello Bloggers, this is Zach White checking in for the last time this year.

We were lucky enough to get some warm weather for once this weekend so most of the guys spent the weekend outdoors.  Although some may not be aware Saturday was the 141st running of the Kentucky Derby, which is something I look forward to every year.  The winner of the race, American Pharoah, is yet another horse that will try to achieve one of the greatest achievements in all of sports, the Triple Crown.  So in the next few weeks it looks as if I will be keeping a close eye on the horses running in the Preakness and Belmont.  I think that it would be cool to see a Triple Crown winner since there hasn’t been one since 1978.

That’s all for today, have a good summer.

Hunter says it was 'a pretty good weekend.....'

Hey everyone,

It is Sunday evening and some of the boys and I are hanging out with our good friend Danny on his porch. He turned the TV around into the window so we could enjoy the beautiful weather while we watch some of the NHL playoffs. Even though Nashville should have beat the Hawks… I'll still watch the exciting hockey and root against all the Canadian teams. Fred Fest was this past weekend and it was a great experience, we did our own thing as a hockey team and had a good time with friends. Some of the boys that graduated last year came in for the weekend so it was nice seeing them as well.  But a solid weekend we had here, and everything and everyone stayed intact which is always a plus for the boys. Fred Fest gets a bad reputation but its really celebrating the end of the year, and enjoying the sunshine with a couple of your closest friends that you will ever have.

Grilling burgers and having some fun.....

Hello again Fredonia followers,

Marcus Ortiz checking in again for yet another fredonia hockey blog spot. Today is the beginning of what some call our last weekend of the school year and wouldnt you know it, we got beautiful weather for it too. We sat outside of the senior house for a large portion of the day grilling burgers and having some fun with some of the alumi that came to visit.

As finals week approaches fast we are all using this as an opportunity to destress and enjoy one of our last weekends together. The NHL playoffs are also in full swing which has us at eachothers throats on a nightly basis but all in good fun! Well I've got a burger to get back to so have a great weekend to all! And enjoy some of the fine weather!!

Go Lightning, Go Capitals!!
