Perks banking on character and toughness to fill void

Just finishing up our first full week back here after spring break. Hockey is over and now moving into the training phase of the year where we will begin to prepare for next year’s season. Although this year’s season didn't carry on as long as we would have liked, I feel like we made huge progress as a team and as individuals. Looking at the guys who are coming off breakout freshman seasons and the rest of our upper class group I feel like we have the personnel to make some noise next year. Saying that, seniors like Bryan Ross, Billy Sanborn, Chris Labella, and last but certainly not least coach Kody "the Grinch" Van Rentergem are irreplaceable members of the team, both on and off the ice, and will be dearly missed. There are big shoes to fill for the boys next year, and I know we have the character in our room for the job.

All the best,
Rod Perkins
